this, THIS, is creeping fascism. now we must control our kids to the point of putting them on a leash like a poodle?! don't even get me started on poodles. if i were a child, i would NOT STAND FOR IT! neither should the children of today! i call upon those who are still in their single digits to rise up and cast off the, well, harness. this reflects badly on the children of today as well, not just their parents. if i were their age i would be devising complicated plans to cut through the cords or lose weight until i could slip our of my leash unnoticed, but what do they do? they tolerate it! i think this calls for a revolution.

Having babysat my pastor's autistic 4-yr-old grandson, as well as numerous other little boys I must say that it would be a great relief to the entire nation should some certain children(not to be mentioning any names here..) were kept on a leash.
I agree with NF Jones, some kids just need them.

YES! It keeps kids from getting snatched from their parents.
It also keeps their parents from having heart-attacks when their kids wander off and do a Calvin and Hobbes trick somewhere.
That is true. Very, very true.
And the we're not "coming to" anything. People have been doing this since at least the sixties. Watch "007 From Russia With Love" there's a scene pretty early on that shows a mother with her leashed kid.
